CTMH is focusing on doing wall calendars in 2018, so I decided that I'd make my own design for a planner that I could use, because I love my planner and I find alot of the commercial ones don't work for what I need them for.
I carry my planer with me everywhere and keep lots of events and notes in it, and I thought about it, and one of the things that I like the most in planners is having a pocket by the month so I can put homemade cards and other mail that needs to go out that month. And I like to have an easy reference of all the birthdays and anniversaries coming up.
I have my planner in a 6x8 CTMH album and I carry it with me all over the place. I created the pages in Cricut Design space and I'll put the links to the different months below. I used the pens to write the calendar part, so you need to be confident with your Cricut and be able to swap out pens & tools.
I made a couple as gifts, and they were very well received, but one of my crafty friends requested a single page month instead of the two-page layout, so I was able to accommodate and both options are available here!
I prefer the two page layout, though so that there's more space to put notes & appointments. I also really like being able to stamp some decoration around the page to lighten it up.
I picked out 12 different cardstock colors but if you had one color you liked you could do the whole year with that color. The Cricut really does most of the work, you just need to pick out the different pen colors that go best with the colors. Fold the back pocket up and glue the sides down. I like to use binder clips to set the glue (I like using the CTMH bonding memories - one pen usually lasts through a whole album, I'm always surprised how long it lasts!) and I usually let it set overnight.
I used Flip-Flaps on the cover and on certain pages on the inside, but otherwise, I put the pictures on a photo mat and glued that down.
