Happy 2017!

Happy new year! I have been looking forward to the new year, 2016 was a bit of a challenge for me, so I wanted to feel like I was starting out fresh with the new year!

To the left are some cards I made to celebrate the new year - I may switched to New Years because I was so late with the Holiday cards! But I'm sure the recipients enjoyed them.

I have a bunch of projects coming up in 2017, so I'm excited to get it going!

On the crafty front, I plan on having a "Papercrafting Planner Party" on January 28th which is the same day as National Papercrafting Day! On the Close to my heart website, you'll notice that there is a 3-D wreath promotion - if you spend $60 you can get the wreath for free, or you can buy it for $18.95. It's got everything you need to make the wreath within the kit - just add glue and personalize! So email me or let me know if you plan on attending.

I'm super excited about the 2017 planner - I love the new coloring options, and it's a great way to personalize and plan for the upcoming year. I gave several of these planners out for the holidays - they made such great gifts. I personalized the months with the Everyday Album pages and I put tons of family photos in so that every day they might be reminded of a fun family memory, so going to the planner wouldn't be as much of a chore! I used washi tape to jazz up the hole-punch area, and on my personal planner, I left a few of the pockets open, because I plan on putting mementos and trinkets in as the month goes on.

I tend to try and scrapbook everything by a deadline, and I thought this might help me organize everything and use it as a way to prompt my scrapbooking.

I've got a few ambitious plans for the upcoming year, so I hope the planner keeps me accountable and on target with the plans!

The other exciting thing is that CTMH has just come out with a new book of papercrafting wonderfulness! I'm really excited about the January paper, it's called Sugar Rush and heavily features donuts & sprinkles, which I love.

Since everything has been crazy busy for the last few months, my card stash is non-existent. So I plan on trying to add a few cards in to have something on hand for friends at work - since I think the sentiments are great for work friends. You can let me know if you are interested in having a party or workshop to do the same!
