Chelsea Gardens

This beautiful card is made by Rita Pfingsten. She is a great card artist and this card really pulls together the beautiful papers of the Chelsea Garden paper pack. I really like the layering of the different papers. One of the many things I love about the Close to my Heart paper packs is that the different papers all go together, so if you have different scraps you can use different ones than the ones that are shown. That being said, the Chelsea Gardens pack is fantastic - the colors of the different papers are beautiful and spot on.

Rita was also inspired by a card layout in Make It From Your Heart, volume 4, a how-to book - a book that is full of ideas for card layouts and how to achieve some great looks. She also took the time to fussy cut out the flower, and I really like how she used charcoal to stamp the flower and leaves on color cardstock, and really helped it pop out with the metallic blue thread.

I recently participated in a card swap with some very talented Close to My Heart consultants, and I was blown away by the creativity that they displayed! I wanted to share some of their art and give some inspiration and a head start on how they created some of the art.

Since there are so many beautiful cards, I thought that I'd try and post as many as possible throughout the month. So keep checking back to see more! I've included links to where you can find the stamps and supplies that were used to create some of the cards if you want to create them on your own, or consider contacting me to attend a "Card Buffet" - a short workshop where you can, for a small fee, pick and choose as many or as few cards you would like to create.
