April Stamp of the Month - get a message in a bottle

Every month CTMH has an exclusive stamp of the month that is usually fantastic. I love that they use the opportunity to try out different stamp sets and different styles of art than is in the normal catalog.

I really liked the different bottles and jars and the cute little sentiments and inserts that are available for stamping with this stamp set. So I was using up some of my extra parts and pieces from the In Full Bloom paper pack - I really love the paper and the textures and images on the paper - and was able to put together this card.

Attach two pieces of In Full Bloom paper to the card base - I had one piece that wouldn't quite make it to the center of the card, but it's not really noticeable with the illustrations on the paper, so I popped it down and used more of the flower paper to reach the first side. I cut out multiple oval thin cut frames - first from the avocado card stock, then with the stripes from the In Full Bloom and from White Daisy Cardstock. I always keep the ovals that are cut out for other uses, the ovals are such a nice size, so make sure to tuck away the Avocado and striped ovals and White Daisy frame for another card.

I attached the Avocado oval frame first, then off-set the striped Avocado paper for a fun effect. Stamp the long bottle in New England Ivy and fill in the cork and the interior stars with Toffee Ink.

The hearts are from a retired thin cut set but you can easily make it by using a heart die and a hole punch if you didn't get the die previously. I used a paper crafting tool to poke a small hole near the bottle neck in the White Daisy oval and threaded thru some twine, tying a small knot in one side and taping the other side to the back of the oval after attaching the hearts.

I used 3-D foam dots to pop up the oval for some dimension and then I went crazy with the Stickles glitter glue and Rose Gold Liquid Pearls. I spread the Stickles on the interior of the bottle in the various star shapes. For the Liquid Pearls, I just went around the oval and added a couple of extra pearls on the card base and the oval frames and set the card aside to dry.

The stamp of the month is is typically available for $18.95 US but you can get it for $5 if you've already got a $50 order. Or if you are VIP customer status you get it for free every month. This set is only available April 1-30, so now is the time to grab yours!
