Cheers My Dears Card

With hangouts & shops starting to open up more, I thought this new stamp set from CTMH was a great idea. I love the idea of tiki bars, and wanted to do a fun card that played along with that theme!

First, stamp the sentiment in black soot and use a clear embossing powder to set it. Then use a mini-ink blending tool and spread Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink all over most of the 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" White Daisy piece. Then use Spiced Marmalade and spread ink over the top and into the sides creating a top corner, blending the two colors together gently. Next take a paper towel and dip it lightly in water and use it to gently rub a circle behind the embossed sentiment, so that it looks like a sun. The water will react with the distress oxide ink and make it slightly lighter than the ink around it, so your sun will depend on how long the water is on the card. Set aside to dry, then attach to the top of the card base.

Stamp out the ink outlines for the drinks on White Daisy and use markers to color them in. Fussy cut out. Cut a stitched oval out of Sundance cardstock and stamp the sentiment in the center.

Cut out the cricut shapes using the mix-in paper and Kraft cardstock. Use the mini ink blending foam to color in the kraft ovals using Candied Apple distress oxide ink. Using liquid glue, adhere the ovals to the awning base. After dry, use the fancy border thin cuts with the hearts to cut the top off of the awning. Then score the back of the awning 1/2" from the bottom and from the top. Fold and burnish in opposite directions. Using liquid glue attach to the top of the White Daisy 4-1/4" x 2-1/2" distress oxide piece.

Using a bone folder, gently roll up the tiki hut grasses made of the Mix-In paper. Use liquid glue to attach to the card base. Use a 1/2" x 4-1/4" kraft piece to cover up the seam of the second piece of tiki grass. Add the stitched oval sentiment with a foam dot.

Stamp the interior sentiment, if desired, and add the drink using foam dots or adhesive making sure they are on top of the "countertop."

Embellish as desired - use glisten stickles glitter glue for the martini drinks and the clear shimmer pen for the other beverages for a fun touch!

Here's a list of the products used, please do reach out and let me know if you have any questions! Thanks & stay crafty!
