Owl of Us - Stamp of the Month Card Tutorial Video

Last summer while my cousin was visiting, we walked out to my back patio and a baby owl was perched in our tree staring at us! It was so amazing to see that little guy so close up - we took a couple of pictures and according to a wildlife friend of ours it was probably a young owl taking a nap and waiting for something to eat in our backyard. We kept our distance, since our yard isn't that big, but it was such a fun experience. And we only noticed it because we were going to hang out on the patio while family was in town!

Anyways, the stamp of the month for October really reminds me of that tiny wide-eyed owl. The stamps are so cute and perfect for coloring in with my favorite alcohol markers, Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers. They're my favorites because each marker comes with three different shades, so it makes it easy to color in shadows and shading on anything.

For this fun card featuring my owl friend, I've put together a video going step-by-step on how to put it together.

I stamped my feathered friend on a rectangle, however, for the first time ever, CTMH is offering thin cut dies that pair with the various owls to make it easy to cut out.

I paired Toffee and Mink cardstock for the various pieces and parts for the card, and I used a piece of my new favorite Mix-in paper pack, the Pine circles, as a fun border at the bottom of the card. Mix-in papers are the best 'cuz they are made to blend with all the various colors and can also work as a nice neutral.

I embellished with some Green enamel dots, and put all the parts together! Make this fun card along with me on the video below and stay crafty!
