Slimline Stamp of the Month #5 - Get it Before it's gone!

Don't let this stamp pass by without thinking about adding it to your collection - every month Close to my Heart has a special stamp set available, the Stamp of the Month and it's exclusive to that month only. It can be purchased at full retail price $18.95 or at a discount of $5 if you have a qualifying purchase of $50 or more. With the CTMH VIP program, you can get the stamp set free with purchase, so that's pretty neat too.

This month's set is a variety of different "Thank you" sentiments and is perfect for starting the year off, if you do thank you cards. This is going to be a workhorse of a stamp set that will be able to be used for quite awhile. But it's only available until January 31st - so if you want it, now's the time!

So most cards are usually made the A2 notecard size (4.25” x 5.5”) or a A7 greeting card (5” x 7”) but the slimline cards are usually 3.5” x 8.5” and fit in a #9 business envelope. CTMH also sells a pack of Slimline card bases and envelopes which makes everything so much easier!

So to make this card, first trim down a piece of Peacock cardstock to 8-1/4" x 3-1/4". Cut one piece of Blossom (with the flowers) 3" x 3-3/4" wide. Adhere the Blossom to the Peacock piece with just a small border around it on the left side.

Using a die cut machine, cut a piece of Smoothie paper with the dark side up using the large Stitched Scalloped Brackets thin cut. Stamp the heart "thank" and the cursive "you" in Peacock, Smoothie, Green Apple and Intense Black inks on White Daisy & fussy cut out. Stamp the "Thanks a Million" in intense Black on White Daisy and cut out.

Using glue, attach the Peacock cursive "you" to the Smoothie stitched bracket, and pop up the Peacock heart with a foam dot or tape. Then attach the bracket to the top of the Blossom flowers using foam tape.

On the right side of the card, adhere the hearts in the corners and the Smoothie heart in the center, use a foam dot to attach the cursive "you"s to their matching hearts. Add the "Thanks a Million" sentiment at the bottom of the hearts. Since there were so many hearts, there really isn't much room for embellishment, but feel free to add any embellishments that may work!

Here's a list of the products used, please do reach out and let me know if you have any questions! Thanks & stay crafty!
