Stamp of the Month - Slimline Version #1

This is a stamp of the month card, so I thought I'd show off how versatile the stamp is this month! Every month Close to my Heart has a special stamp set available, the Stamp of the Month and it's exclusive to that month only. It can be purchased at full retail price $18.95 or at a discount of $5 if you have a qualifying purchase of $50 or more. With the CTMH VIP program, you can get the stamp set free with purchase, so that's pretty neat too.

This month's set is a variety of different "Thank you" sentiments and is perfect for starting the year off, if you do thank you cards. I'm also really into slimline cards right now, so I thought that they would make a perfect pairing!

So most cards are usually made the A2 notecard size (4.25” x 5.5”) or a A7 greeting card (5” x 7”) but the slimline cards are usually 3.5” x 8.5” and fit in a #9 business envelope. CTMH also sells a pack of Slimline card bases and envelopes which makes everything so much easier!

So to make this card, first trim down a piece of Smoothie cardstock - I got mine from a Blossom Coordinating Cardstock (if I'm just using a few pieces and need to match a printed paper pack, it makes sense to get the coordinating since it's less expensive than buying packs of cardstock you may not need) - and trim it down to 8-1/4" x 3-1/4". Cut three pieces of Blossom (with the flowers) 3" x 1-1/4" wide.

Using a die cutting machine, cut the smallest Stitched Scalloped Bracket thin cut out of the dark side of the Smoothie paper. Cut a piece of White Daisy with the large Stitched Scalloped Bracket. Stamp "thanks" on a piece of paper using the Green Apple ink and fussy cut around the wording. On the Dark side of the Smoothie scallop, stamp "many" in the upper left corner.

Adhere the three pieces of Blossom paper and the White Daisy stitched scallop to the Smoothie piece, and glue that on the card base. Since I'm thrifty, I like to use the extra foam dots that come with the shaker packs for the 3-D foam dots on alot of my projects, but you can use foam tape or the dots if you wish. I used it to pop up the Smoothie stitched scallop and the "thanks" on top of that.

From the crafty sequin pack, find sequins that will match the colors and adhere to the card base. In the center of the placed sequins, use the White Opal liquid pearls to create a center part of the flower, and set aside until dry. I used the sequins on the paper pack to create a 3-d illusion of the flowers and then also put them into two groupings of three.

Here's a list of the products used, please do reach out and let me know if you have any questions! Thanks & stay crafty!
