Thank you Slimline Version #2 - Stamp of the Month!

This month's set is a variety of different "Thank you" sentiments and is perfect for starting the year off, if you do thank you cards. I'm also really into slimline cards right now, so I thought that they would make a perfect pairing!

So most cards are usually made the A2 notecard size (4.25” x 5.5”) or a A7 greeting card (5” x 7”) but the slimline cards are usually 3.5” x 8.5” and fit in a #9 business envelope. CTMH also sells a pack of Slimline card bases and envelopes which makes everything so much easier!

Every month Close to my Heart has a special stamp set available, the Stamp of the Month and it's exclusive to that month only. It can be purchased at full retail price $18.95 or at a discount of $5 if you have a qualifying purchase of $50 or more. With the CTMH VIP program, you can get the stamp set free with purchase, so that's pretty neat too - let me know if you are interested in the VIP reward program, I can let you know the details.

So to make this card, first trim down a piece of Peacock cardstock to 8-1/4" x 3-1/4". Cut one piece of Blossom 3" x 8" wide, then using a trimmer, cut that piece in half from end to end. Adhere the peacock to the slimline card base centered, and then glue the large triangle piece to the peacock with a small border. (Check back next week to see the other piece of the triangle used!)

The flower is from the CTMH Everyday Moments collection - the layout it's from is gorgeous, but I took the flower off of the layout and cut it at 2.75" wide in White Daisy and Smoothie. For the leaf, I cut it out of White Daisy also, and then I used a sponge dauber and sponged on Green Apple, making sure to make it darkest on where the lines would be - a good substitution would be to use Green Apple cardstock, however I was out! :) I also cut out a heart from White Daisy, making it just under a half inch tall, and then cut out a box around it - the box was 3" x 0.5".

Then stamp the "Thank" sentiment next to the heart and cut the box down to where the sentiment ends and create a fish tail end to it. Stamp the "You" in Smoothie ink and fussy cut around it.

Glue the White Daisy cricut cuts on top of the green leaf and the smoothie flower. Adhere the heart "thank" flag into the upper left corner. Use a foam dot to pop up the "You" sentiment. Adhere the flowers to the right lower corner of the card and use another foam dot to pop up the flower.

For the embellishments, glue down a large dark pink sequin, then glue a smaller lighter sequin on top, and the smallest dark sequin on the very top. I used retired glacier sequins on the left hand side of the card and used White Onyx Liquid Pearls to create a flower center in them and the stacked sequins on the right.

After the Liquid Pearls dried a little bit, I took the Diamond Stickles Glitter Gel and put a dot of stickles over the top of the liquid pearls - it's a subtle touch but in person it looks really pretty neat. Then trace over the White Daisy flower borders for another fun glitter touch that is barely noticeable in the photo, but looks fantastic in person.

Here's a list of the products used, please do reach out and let me know if you have any questions! Thanks & stay crafty!
