Thank you So Much Slimline Version #4 - Stamp of the Month!

Wait 'til you make this card - it's a secret fun fold card and I like how it came out - the photos, while fantastic, don't do it justice! Slimline cards are very popular right now, and most of them are made in a horizontal orientation, but this fun card upends that by going up & down instead!

So most cards are usually made the A2 notecard size (4.25” x 5.5”) or a A7 greeting card (5” x 7”) but the slimline cards are usually 3.5” x 8.5” and fit in a #9 business envelope. CTMH also sells a pack of Slimline card bases and envelopes which makes everything so much easier!

Every month Close to my Heart has a special stamp set available, the Stamp of the Month and it's exclusive to that month only. It can be purchased at full retail price $18.95 or at a discount of $5 if you have a qualifying purchase of $50 or more. With the CTMH VIP program, you can get the stamp set free with purchase, so that's pretty neat too - let me know if you are interested in the VIP reward program, I can let you know the details.

So to make this card, first trim down a piece of Smoothie cardstock to 8-1/4" x 3-1/4" and also cut a 1/2" strip of Smoothie cardstock for the flag. Cut a piece of Blossom 3" x 8" for the front. Adhere the Blossom centered on the Smoothie cardstock. On the Slimline cardbase, fold the front flap to the center fold so that is folds in half, and burnish with a bone folder so that the fold is crisp. Glue the Smoothie front onto the folded back front, making sure that the glue is only on the front folded section and not on the inside of the card. Set aside to dry.

On Cricut Design Space, place the sunflower (#MD38983 - one of my favorite flowers) and delete the stem and greenery and the waffle round disc in the front, and the round center, too. Size it to 2.5" wide, and cut the outline and one of the flower shadows out in Smoothie and the center of the flower out of White Daisy. Use liquid glue to attach the flower outline to the White Daisy center.

Stamp the "Thank" banner and the "You" in peacock ink on White Daisy and fussy cut out. Stamp "thanks" on the inside of the card base and then stamp "so much" using Intense Black on the Smoothie 1/2" strip. Cut the left side and create a fish tail banner by cutting in a 1/4" up the center of the strip and then cutting from the corners to where the previous cut ended.

Adhere the Smoothie shadow of the flower to the center top of the card on top of the Blossom paper. Use a bone folder to gently rub the White Daisy & Smoothie flower so that the petals gently roll forward and then use a 3-D foam dot to pop it up on the center of the Smoothie flower shadow.

Use a thin 3-D foam dot to place the "Thank" banner on top of the flower on the card base, and a foam dot to pop up the "You" under the flower. Glue the Smoothie "so much" under the "You" and trim off the excess from the side of the card.

For a fun embellishment, adhere small sequins to the Blossom paper at the end of stems, and for a larger flower, stack the three sizes of sequins in alternating colors: a large coral pink sequin, a medium pink sequin and then a small coral or white sequin. After the sequins are all attached, use White Onyx Liquid Pearls and create a center dot in the middle of the flowers. Let it dry a little and put a drop of Diamond Stickles Glitter Gel on top of the Liquid Pearls for a fun effect!
