I love the "wonky" feel of this card! The various circles all use a technique that blends colors into each other, and the off-set wonky flaps make the card feel so fun - this card is the perfect way to say hello!
Cut and stamp six circles from the Fresh Paint Scrapbooking set using Capri, Raspberry, lemonade and wild berry. Rock and roll stamp - first ink up the stamp in the lightest color then roll the edges of the circles stamp in the next color. Stamp heart in Raspberry ink and roll bottom edges with Wild berry on White Daisy thin cut heart shape. Stamp “hello” from For All Occasions on White Daisy using Wild Berry Ink Pad.
Score the Capri cardstock piece at 3-1/8” and 7-3/8”. Fold and burnish creating a card base. On the right side flap, make a light pencil mark 1” down from the top right corner, and 1” over from the bottom right corner. On the left side flap, make a light pencil mark 1” down from the top left corner and 1” over from the bottom left corner.
On your paper trimmer, line up the 3-1/8” score line and the 1” pencil mark and cut off the top part of the card. Then line up the 1” marks on the side and the bottom and slice from one side to the other to create a “wonky” flap. Repeat the process on the opposite side.
Take the 3” x 5-1/4” piece and mark a light pencil mark at 1” from the top right corner and 1” from the bottom right corner. On the second 3” x 5-1/4” piece, mark it 1” from the top left corner and 1” from the bottom left corner. Line up on a paper trimmer from top corner to pencil line. Since it is the lighter Fresh Paint paper, drop the blade in the middle and cut from the middle to each side so that the edges are not wrinkled in the trimmer. Repeat going from top 1” mark to the bottom 1” mark. Repeat on the other side, making sure to reverse the cuts.
Trim 4” of Wild Berry and Capri Shimmer Trim in half and attach two pieces to the top of the interior piece, then adhere to the interior of the card base. Attach the wonky fronts to the card base fronts leaving a border around the edges. Adhere the circles in random order around the wonky fronts, making sure to overlap the center circles.
Put 3-D foam dot on edge of black Fresh Paint piece and attach heart to end. Wrap checkered belly band around completed card, and trim off excess checker paper, using liquid adhesive to adhere the strip under the circle to hide the joint of the belly band. Put Glisten Stickles in the center of heart on belly band, use papercrafting tool to spread the stickles to the edges of the heart.
On the card front, fill in white circles with Glisten Stickles, using papercrafting tool to fill to edges. In filled in circles, use White Opal liquid pearls to create dots. Embellish wonky card fronts as desired with White Opal liquid pearls. Let dry before sliding on belly band.
